Call for papers
This year with an entirely optional "eighties" theme
Yes we are theming #durbbu again!
When we got back together after covid, we decided we needed to do something special and so layered an Abba theme on top of the standard #durbbu conference-vibe. We were overwhelmed with the way people engaged some excellent punning in the titles and presentations, some dreadful (but still excellent in their own way). We even heard of some people getting dressed up.
It was meant to be a one-off, but ever since then, people have been asking "will you be doing it again?"
The wait is over: it is time to embrace your inner "eighties". It doesn't matter whether you see the 1980s as key formative part of your childhood, a time whose fashion is best forgotten, or way back in the distant past long before your birth. The eighties contains a wealth of visual imagery, songs and toys that you can draw upon, should you choose.
As ever this is entirely optional.
This is a user conference, so we need to hear from you - our fellow users of Blackboard! We can't do it without you.
We are asking for papers that address the conference theme, or will resonate with large numbers of the people attending. Don't worry if you have never presented before, it is a very friendly environment.
Submit your proposal using this simple Microsoft Form:
All submissions will be anonymously peer-reviewed by members of the UK Blackboard User community.
There will be a suitable prize for the conference paper or workshop with the best title.
